Hi! We are asking for help from all the officers to keep our onboarding site up to date. The onboarding site can be found at https://onboarding.ieeeucsd.org/. To edit the onboarding site, navigate to https://directus.ieeeucsd.org/ and follow the steps below.
Login to Onboarding Site
When you are logged out, you will not see all the pages available. Be sure to log into the onboarding site using the same email you use to log into the membership portal for IEEE (usually your school email) first.
Then, your sidebar should look something like this!
Login to Directus (Ask current webmasters for username and password)
Navigate to Content → Pages in the left sidebar
Should open a view like this
First, check if your page has already been created by checking the Title field.
If so, click on the row (but outside the checkbox).
For example, to open Robocup Soccer’s page, click at the point of the arrow.
If you need to create a new page
Click the “+” (plus) button in the upper right. Both creating a new page and opening an existing page should show you a page like this:
Fill out all unfilled fields
For the Category title, make sure to click the check mark in the upper right of the pop-up to save your choice.
- The slug field determines your URL, so keep it to all lowercase letters and
-characters! No spaces. - The content section is for any content that doesn’t fit the existing sections.
Save your work
Click the check mark next to the trash icon to save your work!
DON’T FORGET TO SAVE YOUR WORK!!!
Double-check your work on onboarding.ieeeucsd.org
Check that your new page shows up on the sidebar.
Congrats! You have now created a new page.
